If your Dell laptop is connected to the docking station but the monitors, mouse, keyboard, or network are not working, follow the steps below to reset the system and resolve the issue.

Steps to Reset the System:

  1. Unplug Your Laptop from the Docking Station:

    • Disconnect your laptop from the docking station.

    • Restart the laptop to ensure it is fully rebooted.

  2. Unplug the Docking Station from Power:

    • Find the round plug on the back of the docking station that connects it to power.

    • Unplug the docking station from the power source.

    • Wait for 30 seconds to ensure the docking station fully powers down.

  3. Reconnect Power to the Docking Station:

    • Plug the power cable back into the docking station.

    • Wait for another 30 seconds to allow the docking station to initialize.

  4. Reconnect Your Laptop to the Docking Station:

    • Once the docking station has been powered back up, reconnect your laptop to the docking station.

    • Check if the monitors, mouse, keyboard, and network are now working correctly.
