Remote Desktop Connection Modification After a Computer Name Change or Other Issues

Steps to Modify the Remote Desktop Connection:

  1. Locate the Saved Remote Desktop Connection Icon:

    • On your desktop, find the saved Remote Desktop Connection icon.

  2. Right-click on the Icon:

    • Right-click on the Remote Desktop Connection icon.

  3. Select “Edit”:

    • From the context menu, select Edit.

  4. Edit the Computer Name:

    • In the connection settings window, update the computer name field to reflect your new computer name.

  5. Save the Changes:

    • Once the computer name is updated, click Save to apply the changes.
