Follow these steps to set up and use Windows Remote Desktop on your Chromebook, including connecting to your UB computer remotely via VPN when off-campus.
1. Download and Install the Remote Desktop Client (First Time Only)

Open the Play Store application on your Chromebook.

In the Search box, type Microsoft Remote Desktop.

Click Install.

Click Confirm to complete the installation.
2. Create a Secure Connection to the Internet (Off-Campus Only)
To connect to your UB computer from off-campus, you'll need to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Download and Install Cisco Secure Client:

Connect to the UB VPN:
3. Connect to Your UB Computer via Remote Desktop

Open the Remote Desktop Client:

Add a New Remote Desktop Connection:

Enter Your Computer Name:

Enter Your UB Credentials:

In the User name field, type ad\
followed by your UBITName (e.g., ad\jdoe
).

In the Password field, enter your UBIT Password.
